Long Format Videos
Section titled “Long Format Videos”1. I Hunted a Real Pirate Lost Treasure in Miami
Section titled “1. I Hunted a Real Pirate Lost Treasure in Miami”Inspired by the 1715 Spanish Treasure Fleet shipwreck off the coast of Florida, for this video try to locate lost treasure that may still be washing ashore today. Begin your hunt with historical research and recent news of treasure found on shores. Then, begin your hunt in low-probability areas and move towards higher-probability coastlines. Along the way, show any kind of treasures you find, but will you hit the jackpot?
Hook: “Over 300 years ago, a fleet carrying millions in gold and silver sank off the coast of Florida, and until this day people still find gold and silver coins across Miami. That’s why, today, I’m going to try and find some of my own…”
2. I Tried to Find Crystals on a Florida Beach
Section titled “2. I Tried to Find Crystals on a Florida Beach”Florida might be the last place someone might go look for crystals, but according to this extensive article, there’s in fact many crystals that can be found here. In certain spots, you can find Agate, Calcite, Geodes and Quartz as well as petrified wood and other fossils, but there’s more rare gems like Agatized coral, Calcite clams, Carnelian, Kyanite and Malachite. That’s why, for this video, go crystal hunting and prove crystals sometimes might be in the places you least expect them.
Hook: “Today, I’m going on a quest to hunt for crystals where you least expect them… a florida beach.”
3. I Went Magnet Hunting in Florida After Spring Break
Section titled “3. I Went Magnet Hunting in Florida After Spring Break”For this video, use all your tools in hand to find whatever tourists lost after Spring Break! This idea is similar to the “Magnet Hunting after a music festival” idea I sent in a few reports ago, and this can be either staged easily or really filmed after or during spring break, depending on your schedule. For this video, grab your tools and explore beaches, docks and other sites. Before throwing the magnet, explain why each location could realistically hide valuable objects. Progress from low-traffic to highest-traffic areas across Miami.
Hook: “Miami is the heart of Spring Break, and today, after thousands of people partied here, I’m gonna find everything they left behind!”
4. I Tried to Turn Beach Sand Into Money
Section titled “4. I Tried to Turn Beach Sand Into Money”For this video, explore whether ordinary Miami beach sand contains anything of monetary value. Use different tools to find rare shells, unusual coins, fossils, missing items, valuable treasures and perhaps even gold. The goal is to try and attempt to make at least $100 USD worth of finds of all kinds.
Hook: “There are millions of grains of sand on this beach. But what you may not know is that, buried beneath them, could be thousands of dollars worth of treasures!”
Short Format Videos
Section titled “Short Format Videos”5. I Found a Shark Tooth, Then I Found the Shark
Section titled “5. I Found a Shark Tooth, Then I Found the Shark”For this short, follow this classic idea pattern of finding something and then locating it’s owner, but this time give it a spin! Since shark tooths are very common to find on the shores of Florida, for this short not only attempt to find one, but also try to locate the shark that lost it. For this, you can visit aquariums and water parks, and escalate things as you sail into the Atlantic to try and find the toothless shark. Will you succeed?
Hook: “Today, I was walking down the beach when I came across a shark tooth. But, instead of throwing it away, I desperately began to look for the toothless shark…”
6. Lifestraw vs Miami Water (Ocean, Pond, Canal, River)
Section titled “6. Lifestraw vs Miami Water (Ocean, Pond, Canal, River)”For this video, test whether Miami’s water sources are survivable using a Lifestraw. The goal is to show all the natural water sources in Florida (from ocean water to ponds and lakes, canals and rivers). Before filtering, explain what contaminants or risks could realistically exist in each source (including alligators). Rank them from “least drinkable” to “will do again.”
Hook: “Today I was sun tanning in Miami when I got really thirsty, but remembered I forgot my water bottle back in New York. So, I took my lifestraw and tried to find the best water in Miami.”
7. I Tried to Find GTA VI in Miami
Section titled “7. I Tried to Find GTA VI in Miami”For this short, explore real Miami locations that resemble Vice City (from the GTA franchise) with the goal of finding a rare exclusive copy of GTA VI hidden somewhere. This idea combines gaming and internet jokes about GTA VI and it’s perfect to be filmed in the real Vice City. This short is heavily inspired by your previous Miami shorts where you referenced Miami Vice and Ace Ventura.
Hook: “Today, I’m on a hunt to find GTA VI for my friend’s birthday, because I heard the first copy of the game is hidden in Vice City…”
8. Can You Buy Anything With a Sand Dollar?
Section titled “8. Can You Buy Anything With a Sand Dollar?”For this short, explore whether a real sand dollar (the seashell) has any actual value in the real world. The challenge is simple: find a sand dollar naturally on a Miami-area beach and attempt to trade it or convert it into something tangible. Is it really worth a dollar?
Hook: “Today, I was walking down Miami when I got a craving for hot dogs, but I didn’t have my wallet. But then, I remembered the beaches are filled with Sand Dollars!”
9. I Made a 5-Star Course Dinner for Alligators
Section titled “9. I Made a 5-Star Course Dinner for Alligators”For this staged short, create a “five-star” gourmet-style meal for wild alligators. The video will show you buying and preparing the meal and then driving to a wild area to serve the food. Of course, this will be a staged video (don’t get in trouble!) but it follows the logic and strucrture of previous ideas where you make meals for wild animals.
Hook: “Today, I made a five star dinner meal for some wild alligators so I can explore their pond while they feast!”
